The Dow Corning Silicone Rubber Aquarium Sealant is one key product that is always important to have on hand if you have fish tanks at home or in the office. It has two main purposes – the first of which is in sealing home-made aquariums. You may think that any silicone product is aquarium safe but this is wrong. A proper sealant designed for continuous exposure to water and humidity must be used (hint, this product is). Secondly, the silicone/rubber aquarium sealant can be used to help patch cracks or leaks in the glass that would otherwise mean a fish tank would need to be thrown out!
